It saddens me to say that I've decided to put Prepared's 25 man raiding to sleep.
There are a number of factors that have caused me to reach this decision so rather than feed you long paragraphs I thought I'd put them into a nice, easily digestible list:
- it's been constant battle to keep attendance and sign-ups at a decent level
- there's a lack of 25 man raids generally, which leads to
- very slow progress.
- a large portion of our raiders are simply not up to the standard required to progress
- some people are just completely ignorant toward the leaders of this guild, and this ruins raids
- there is no sign of recruitment picking up recruits applying at the level we need to progress
I have some ideas about what I might do with the guild, maybe a 10 man version of us with people I know who will both attend well and be able to perform to a high standard. Maybe we'll even kill LK on heroic mode. But this is a just an idea at the moment - watch this space.
That said, I'm also going to have a little look around myself to see if anyone is interested in a DK tank on our faction/server. A small part of me still wants to beat 25 man content.
Whatever happens I won't be closing down the guild in game. It will remain a place to talk and group up, do something. The forums will depend on what happens with the Prepared itself.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed in any way, shape, or form to our progress both past and present. Special mentions go to Chris, Lee, Bruno, and Charlotte who have done their best since last summer to keep the guild going.
Take a look at [our progress page] to remind you of our experiences overs the last few years. There are also some [great videos here], and please take time to watch Yunnie's Black Temple video in particular.
One final thankyou to Gwen for preventing me from going insane and putting up with my moaning
PS. Look out for a Mount Hyjal run soon which will mark the end of this era of 25 man progress. If you can bring anyone out of retirement for this, please try
Love ya, bye!

To play us out, Roy Orbison and KD Lang!

Yeah - I'd just like to point out to some of the newer (and ex) members that I did actually hit things from time to time once - it wasn't all about the dancing in the pink frocks...
Uh huh, like anyone is going to believe that!

That BT video always makes me feel really nostalgic, really great times. All my best to everyone who is and has been in the guild over the years. I do hope many of you will stay in touch.

Woah! I kept logging into Prepared's page in hope of seeing new kills, specially LK and tripped on a land mine (gnum exploded into little tiny pieces).
I'm sad that this resolution will probably mean the end of Prepared in a short term or at least as we knew this guild. Once a well oiled machine, powerful enough for Illidan not to drop a glaive.
Yes, we were that good! And I was just a rookie.
I think we have to thank you Dave and most of the long term members that kept this dream alive.
I would advice most of you actually to stop playing and enjoy more of your true life.
Anyway, whatever you all intend to do, leave Prepared, stop playing, go to another server/faction, etc, good luck and hope you can pewpew moar than QQ. If you see a warrior tank as good as me and with my bad temper it's a clone of the artist once known as Sinka.
PS: Special thanks too: Dave, Nick, Em, Lee and Chris, for welcoming me as an officer and for pushing forward when I couldn't.
Edit: Bleh I would love to attend a MH raid but no chars! xD Oh well.....................................

Dunno if anyone spotted this but the guild had just turned 3 years old when this was posted.
It's been a long journey

Sad to read this,
Its been a long time since we gathered in Stromwind and formed this guild, all in all 'Prepared' was probably a better name choise than 'Bewbs FTW'.
I wasnt playing in IC but it sure seems like the guild leaders have given max effort to try and keep the motor running.
Sometimes a change is needed and unavoidable to be able to start again in a better position.
/hugs to the old gang out there ,the schwarz is with you.
